So do we ... and we are doing something about it!

Explore More Family Travel is running a destination theme each month of 2021.  Each month, the theme will drive social media content, The Travel Book Club selection,  the Sips & Trips Virtual Event Kit, and the Sips & Trips Virtual Travel Event.  You do not have to buy the kit to attend the event.  However, the kit will include something for you to sip on during the call.  Plus, we will be discussing the kit at the beginning of each event and they are quite lovely, so you probably should just go ahead and buy one so you don’t feel left out!  If I haven’t convinced you, then just bring your own drink to sip on during the event!

Many of us will not be comfortable planning a trip outside the USA until we know more about borders opening up and the vaccine roll out. That is why we are taking some time in March to focus on the good ole US of A!

During the summer of 2020, The Explore More Family took an epic road trip to visit the National Parks out west and want to share some of that experience with others. There is also plenty to see closer to home and for us, that means the Southeast. It also seems that everyone is asking about Florida. And of course, you can’t forget the beauty of the Northeast and Pacific Northwest. Wow, we have a lot to cover.

We will try to explore it all.  Make sure to join our Sips & Trips Facebook Group where we will go into more depth about our events, kits, and more ways to explore outside of scheduled events.

While Explore More Family Travel will focus on all mainland U.S.  destinations in March, our event will focus on the south.  The kit will focus on the Taste of the South, and our special special guest, Carlton Chamblin will be showing us how to make the perfect cocktail (or mocktail) to sip during our time together.

Carlton is a native of Birmingham, AL with backgrounds in art history, product marketing and food and beverage.  Since moving to Rabun County, Georgia in 2016 he has been an integral part of the community and an ardent supporter of the Northeast Georgia Food Bank and Teaching Kitchen.  Chamblin has served as host of the yearly Chef Throwdown, a local cooking competition modeled after the Food Network’s “Chopped”.

He has taken his love of bartending and hospitality to new heights with the founding of Farm2Cocktail, a cocktail mixer and freelance bartending company.  The mixers are known as shrubs or drinking vinegars and may be found online at

Carlton resides in Tiger, Georgia with Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey and Diva, his three canine rescues.

The Sips & Trips, a Taste of the South, will take place March 31st at 7 PM.  Register below!

We are still working out the details of our Taste of the South Kit, but you can still purchase the  Provencal Kit  as a souvenir of your virtual trip to France and bring the sights, smells, and tastes of this fascinating country into your home.  This kit will link you to the world until we are able to travel again …
